I see London...

Today's post has a bittersweet feeling to it because it's the last one I am doing from Spain. I am moving to London tomorrow and will stay there for the next months. I am eager to show you all the fashion-related news that take place there, and I am sure I will be showing you some amazing street style! I won't be posting  during the next days, but will do so as soon as I get settled. Promise!

Today's look is very summery, I doubt I will be showing you anything similar until next year! I love this skirt (it used to belong to my mum!) It has a Herve Leger feel to it as it adapts amazingly to the body thanks to the bandage-like strips. What I love about this look is that it can be worn during the day, but also during the night if you team it up with a pair of heels.

El post de hoy me produce una sensación un poco agridulce ya que es el último que haré desde españa. Mañana me mudo a londres, donde viviré durante los próximos meses; aunque estoy ansiosa por contaros todas las noticias relacionadas con la moda y estoy segura de que os enseñaré looks de calle increíbles! Durante unos días no actualizaré el blog, pero en cuanto esté instalada me vuelvo a poner con esto ¡promesa!

El look que os enseño hoy es muy veraniego, dudo mucho que vuelva a ponerme algo así hasta el año que viene! Esta falda era de mi madre, y me encanta como se adapta al cuerpo gracias a las bandas que tiene; muy estilo Herve Leger. Lo que me gusta de este look es que vale tanto para el día como para la noche si le añades unos tacones.

Don't let it get away

It's official: Autumn is here! And while we wait for the darker colours to slowly invade our wardrobes, I decided to make the most of the last rays of sun by wearing my camel skirt, and combining it with one of the most simple yet original tops I own. Camel was a huge trend not so long ago and I still can't resist it! I think it's a great transition colour for this time of the year.

Es oficial: el otoño ya está aquí; pero hasta que los colores oscuros se apoderen definitivamente de nuestros armarios tenemos que sacarle el mayor partido posible a los últimos rayos de sol. En esta ocasión combiné mi falda camel con uno de los tops más simples y originales que tengo. El color camel estuvo muy de moda hace algún tiempo, pero yo no me resisto; creo que es un color de transición perfecto!

He's Mine, Bitch!

I love a good statement T-Shirt, they are fun and carefree. I knew I needed this one as soon as I saw it! Not only do I love what is written on it, but that picture of Chuck Bass... (those of you who watch Gossip Girl know what I'm talking about!) A t-shirt like this has so much personality that it stands out by itself, so you needn't bother much about the rest of the outfit. This time, I teamed it with a pair of cut-off shorts and my favourite blazer which I hadn't worn all summer and was already a bit eager to do so!

Me encantan las camisetas con mensaje porque son divertidas y desenfadadas. ¡Me enamoré de esta en cuanto la vi! No sólo lo que dice, pero esa foto de Chuck Bass... (quienes veis Gossip Girl sabéis de qué estoy hablando!)  Una camiseta de este estilo tiene tanta personalidad que no necesita nada más para destacar, así que podemos mantener el resto del look simple. Esta vez decidí ponérmela con un par de shorts y mi blazer favorita que llevaba en mi armario todo el verano y que ya era hora de volver a sacar.

The minor of details

There is no way you can go wrong when mixing black and white. It's a combination that always works, no matter what the occasion is. It is true that it might seem a bit boring at times, but you can easily fix that by adding a couple of details that will quickly transform your look. This time I chose to combine these two colours with silver. Hope you like the result!

El blanco y el negro son dos colores que siempre han combinado a la perfección; siempre funcionan genial, sea cual sea la ocasión. Puede ser que a veces un look basado en estos colores resulte un poco soso, pero si le añadimos unos complementos podemos transformarlo por completo. It's always nice to introduce a change to our clothing, and what better way to do it than with a bit of colour? We all love jeans for the obvious reasons: the comfort and the fact that they go with everything, but we usually stick to blue jeans, and this can get us stuck in a rut which can be difficult to get out of. Luckily for us,  colour has been everywhere this season, so why not switch the order? 

De vez en cuando apetece introducir algún cambio en nuestra manera de combinar la ropa, ¿y qué mejor forma de hacerlo que añadiendo una nota de color? Los pantalones vaqueros son esa prenda básica que nos salvan en más de una ocasión por su comodidad y el hecho de que combinan con todo, pero solemos decantarnos por el color azul, y esto nos puede llevar a una rutina. Por suerte, el color ha inundado nuestros armarios esta temporada, así que ¿por qué no invertir el orden?

Simple as 1, 2, 3

I am a huge fan of polo shirts. I love the preppy vibe, the fit they have and how, in my opinion, they look good on everyone. They are so popular because they are timeless and have a simple design which looks as good now as it did years ago. I have a few in my wardrobe which I will be showing you, although the one I am wearing today is definitely my favourite. The colour clash is what caught my eye. This time I chose to wear it with a pair of white shorts and trainers to give it a summery feel.

Me declaro fan incondicional de los polos y del estilo ''preppy''. Me encanta el corte que tienen y lo bien que sientan a todo el mundo. Son tan populares porque son piezas intemporales con un diseño sencillo que cambia muy poco a lo largo de los años, manteniendo así su esencia. Aunque tengo unos cuantos, el que os enseño hoy es sin duda mi favorito. Es muy sencillo, pero con unos colores muy intensos. Esta vez decidí combinarlos con unos shorts y unas deportivas para darle al look una sensación veraniega.

Roll Up!

Don't we all get days when we feel like keeping our look simple? Sometimes less is definitely more, and you can't go wrong with a basic and classic combination like jeans and a white top. In this case, I chose to ''recycle'' a pair I hadn't worn for years. By simply rolling them up, I have the impression like they are brand new and I love the ''boyfriend'' feel they have; it's a refreshing and cool alternative to the skinny trend that has been around for so long.

Todos tenemos días en los que nos apetece simplificar nuestro look. Sin duda, muchas veces, menos es más y es imposible fallar con una combinación de vaqueros y top blanco. En este caso, decidí ''reciclar'' unos vaqueros que llevaban años en mi armario. Para darles un aire nuevo solamente los tuve que remangar, y la sensación es la de tener unos vaqueros nuevos. Además, los vaqueros tipo ''boyfriend'' vuelven a estar de moda y presentan una alternativa a los pitillo.

Can I be electric too?

Today's post is very special because it's the first of a series that I'll be dedicating to some of my friends' looks, and my dear Alba just had to be the opening act! What I love about her style is that she takes a lot of risks. She has a very independent and carefree way of percieving fashion; it doesn't matter where she is going, she always has that touch that adds attitude to her look. This time she chose to match a dress with one of the key pieces of the season: a military-inspired shirt alongside her Lita boots (another huge fashion hit). This look is perfect for both day and night!

El post de hoy es muy especial porque es el primero de una serie que voy a dedicar a los looks de amigas mías ¡y la primera no podía ser otra que mi querida Alba! Lo que me gusta de su estilo es que arriesga muchísimo, tiene una percepción de la moda muy desenfadada y la interpreta de manera muy libre. Ya sea vestida de forma casual o arreglada para salir, nunca le falta ese detalle que le otorga un plus de actitud. En esta ocasión ha elegido combinar un vestido con una de las prendas de la temporada: una camisa de inspiración militar, y los archiconocidos botines Lita. Me encanta esta combinación porque vale tanto para el día como para la noche.
