Liverpool

I went to Liverpool a couple of weekends ago to spend the day. And what an amazing day!! After a nice and filling breakfast it was time to visit some of the most iconic places. This was never a city that appealed to me very much, but the truth is that I was greatly surprised, it has some amazingly beautiful buildings and oozes charm from every corner. The first stop just had to be The Cavern, which felt like going back in time a bit. Surrounded by The Beatles memorabilia and with a great soundtrack, it’s the perfect place to have a Guinness! Then it was off to the dock for a stroll around some very impressive buildings, and last but not least, a visit to Anfield! I must admit that Liverpool isn’t precisely my favourite team, but the atmosphere around the stadium was incredible even a couple of hours before the match! Make sure you don’t miss out on a chance to visit Liverpool, I guarantee you’ll like it! The day was sunny, but it was pretty cold, so no better option than a warm dress, and a big chunky scarf.

Estuve en Liverpool hace un par de semanas y la verdad es que me lo pasé en grande! He de admitir que nunca ha sido una ciudad que me llamase mucho la atención, pero me llevé una gran sorpresa. Es una ciudad con un encanto especial y unos edificios impresionantes. Después de un desayuno en condiciones, me fui directa a The Cavern, lugar emblemático donde los haya. Como una turista mas, me hice fotos con souvenirs de los Beatles, y la Guinness que no falte! Después me di un pequeño paseo por el muelle, que es precioso, y por último, la visita obligada a Anfield. Aunque este equipo de fútbol no es precisamente santo de mi devoción, era día de partido y los alrededores del estadio estaban repletos de hinchas y se respiraba un ambientazo increíble. Visita 100% recomendable! El día estaba soleado, pero hacía un frío de muerte, así que cual cebolla con mil capas, elegí un vestido y una mega bufanda.

Let it Fall

Who says rainy days are boring? Okay, they aren’t ideal for showing off our outfits, but we have to learn to see the bright side of things. Once again, I have relied on a black and white combination as I think it suits darker days pefectly. Hair nicely tied up (we all know that rain and wind does our locks no favours!), umbrella, and we’re all set to go outside and splash!

¿Quién dijo que los días lluviosos son aburridos? Vale que no es lo más práctico a la hora de lucir, pero también tienen su encanto. En esta ocasión he vuelto a recurrir a la combinación blanco y negro, muy práctica para los días más apagados. Pelo bien recogido (todos sabemos que la lluvia y el viento no es lo ideal para las melenas!), paraguas y lista para salir a chapotear!

Bright Light and Indigo Skies

London is a huge, very hectic city full of people and crammed with traffic, but London can also mean tranquility and lovely long walks. There are lots of parks all around the city where we can go to whenever we need an escape from all the madness. I decided to go to Hyde Park, in central London, for a little morning walk. Even though it’s pretty cold and winter is just around the corner, we can still enjoy the sight of fallen leaves and autumnal scenery.

Londres es una cuidad muy grande y ajetreada, con calles repletas de gente, tráfico,… pero Londres también puede ser sinónimo de tranquilidad y largos paseos. Hay muchos parques por toda la cuidad que suponen un descanso de todo el ajetreo y estrés. Hyde Park, en pleno centro, es uno de ellos y aproveché la mañana para darme una vuelta. Aunque el frío ya aprieta y el invierno está a la vuelta de la esquina, todavía podemos disfrutar de paisajes otoñales.

Cool Britannia

The Big Ben, the London Eye, Tower Bridge,… one of the great things of living in London is that you can visit these iconic places whenever you want. I was feeling particularly touristy, so I decided to pay a visit to some of the most important buildings and monuments, which never fail to amaze me no matter how many times I go. Starting my visit at the Big Ben, I then walked along the Thames and stopped by equally amazing places like St. Paul’s Cathedral or Somerset House. Not even a grey and windy day could ruin such a lovely walk!

El Big Ben, el London Eye, los puentes,...vivir en Londres tiene muchas ventajas, pero una de las mejores es que puedes visitar lugares increíbles las veces que quieras. Hacía ya tiempo que no me pasaba por algunos de ellos, así que con el modo turista on decidí darme un largo paseo por el Támesis y hacer algunas de las paradas obligatorias: la Catedral de San Pablo, Somerset House,… un paseo tan bonito que ni siquiera un día gris y con viento lo puede estropear!
