Bye Bye 2012!

So, the last day of the year is here! When this day comes we tend to take a look back at the last 12 months and think of all the things that have happened to us, both good and not so good, people we've met, experiences we've had,... I just hope all of you enjoy the last night of 2012 and make the most of 2013!

¡Pues ya está aquí el último día del 2012! Cuando llega este día solemos echar la vista atrás y dedicar unos momentos a pensar en todo lo que nos ha ocurrido, lo bueno y lo no tan bueno. Sea como sea, espero que el 2013 esté repleto de cosas buenas. Odio los tópicos, y esto empieza a parecer una tarjeta de navidad así que solamente me queda desearos una muy buena salida y entrada de año! :)

Okay, so New Year's eve is just days away, does everyone have their outfits ready? I don't know about you, but I sometimes get the feeling that some outfits seem incomplete without jewels, we need to spice things up a little bit, and New Year's is the perfect time for that. If what we are going to wear already has some sort of decoration, the key is to keep it simple, but if  not, then to team it up with some chunky jewellery is the perfect way to glam it up. Just in case you are looking for some last minute ideas, I've put together a selection of jewels that might inspire you.

No falta nada para Nochevieja ¿tenéis preparados vuestros modelitos? No sé si a vosotros os pasa lo mismo, pero a mi muchas veces me da la sensación de que un conjunto no está completo si no le añadimos joyas de algún tipo. Es una forma divertida de darle vidilla a nuestro look, y la noche del 31 es perfecta para eso. Si lo que os vais a poner ya tiene alguna decoración o abalorio, la clave está en no recargar el look con joyas muy grandes u ostentosas, pero si por el contrario optamos por un look más minimal, unos complementos vistosos son perfectos. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody! Has Santa been good this year? I hope everyone is enjoying this day, it doesn't matter if you are at home with your familiy or far away, the important thing is to embrace the good things we have in our lives and forget about the bad ones! :)

Today I'm wearing one of my favourite jumpers, I can't belive it's taken me this long to show it to you! I love the shape, the fit... and nothing says Christmas like red!

¡Muy feliz navidad a todo el mundo! ¿Qué tal se ha portado Papá Noel este año? Espero que todos estéis pasando un día maravilloso ya sea en casa con la familia o lejos; lo importante es saber apreciar las cosas buenas que tenemos y olvidarnos de lo malo :)

Hoy llevo uno de mis jerséis favoritos, no me puedo creer que haya tardado tanto en enseñarlo! Adoro la forma que tiene, como sienta... y su color! Al fin y al cabo, el rojo es el color de la navidad por excelencia!

Coldest Winter

I am a summer person. Fact. Therefore, I always try to delay as much as possible the use of coats, hats, gloves, scarves and other things related, but, when it gets cold it's either that or a flu. Fortunately, there are many ways we can keep warn in style! I'm still using as many light colours as possible, so I went for a white and brown combination.

Soy una persona de verano, así que siempre intento aplazar  el uso de guantes, gorros, bufandas y demás prendas relacionadas todo lo posible, pero cuando el frío aprieta las opciones se limitan a eso o a una gripe. Por suerte, el estilo y el estar abrigados no están reñidos. Yo sigo en mi empeño de utilizar colores claros ahora que todavía se puede, así que elegí una combinación de blanco y marrón.

New Year's Eve

One of the most special nights of the year is getting close! New Year's eve is a night to get in our finest clothes and celebrate big time! But the same problem visits us every single time: what do I wear? I'm not a fan of very formal or excessive looks, I think the key when it comes to shopping for this night is to choose garments which can be worn other times as well (don't we all have that dress which we only wore that one time?) If you do not have a little black dress, what are you waiting for? This time of the year is perfect to get your hands on one as they can be found anywhere. Skirts are a personal favourite, especially now with all the jumpermania which means we can combine them to get a more informal look. If you are loking for something less conventional, then why not try with a pair of trousers? Studs, feathers, sequins, jacquard,...the possibilities are endless, so no need to get stressed out! After all, this night is all about having fun.

 

¡Ya va faltando menos para una de las noches más especiales del año! Una noche en la que todos nos ponemos nuestras mejores galas y salimos a las calles a celebrar la llegada de un año nuevo. Uvas, champán y mucha fiesta, pero estoy segura de que muchas de vosotras os encontráis con el mismo dilema año tras año: ¿qué me pongo? Yo no soy partidaria de conjuntos demasiado formales ni recargados, y creo que la clave a la hora de comprar para fin de año es elegir prendas versátiles que podamos usar más veces (todas tenemos ese vestido que solamente hemos utilizado una vez). Si no tenéis un little black dress, ¿a qué estáis esperando? Otra cosa no, pero vestidos negros sobran en las tiendas por estas fechas. Las faldas son también una de las prendas favoritas a la hora de vestirnos para la noche más larga del año. Además, con la moda de los jerseys las podemos utilizar en clave más informal. Lentejuelas, plumas, tachuelas, estampado barroco,... las posibilidades son infinitas. Y si nos apetece algo menos convencional ¿por qué no unos pantalones? Como veis, el abanico de opciones es amplio, así que no hay necesidad de agobiarse!

Hold on to your kite...

I spent the weekend in Coruña, one of my favourite places ever! Its amazingly pretty streets, the way people live life... and I have to say that, in my modest and humble opinion, it's where people have the best dress-sense hands down. I took with me a pink jumper and my loafers, which are very conservative pieces, so I decided to give them a twist with a pair of boyfriend jeans. Happy Monday!

Pasé el fin de semana en Coruña, uno de mis lugares favoritos. Sus calles, el ambiente que se respira,...es perfecta. Además, en mi modesta y humilde opinión, sus habitantes tienen un gusto para la moda increíble. Me llevé conmigo un jersey rosa y mis castellanos, que son prendas muy conservadoras, así que decidí darles un giro y combinarlas con mis vaqueros boyfriend. ¡Que tengáis un muy feliz lunes!

Studs, skulls, and everything with a punky vibe has been massive this year, and I'm hoping it will still be in the following months as I am addicted to this trend! I've had this jumper since way before we all decided to channel our inner Sid Vicious, and it has been a constant basic all throughout the different seasons.

Las tachuelas, las calaveras y todo lo punky han sido tendencia este año, y yo espero que lo sigan siendo en los próximos meses porque me encanta! Me hice con este jersey mucho antes de que a todos nos diera por sacar al Sid Vicious que llevamos dentro, y se ha convertido en uno de los básicos de mi armario.

Pure Shores

Winter is not just dark colours, we have to make the most of sunny days and give our outfits that extra touch of light. To walk my dog I chose my new jumper. You can't notice it in the pics, but it has little traces of baby blue and light pink which I think makes it super cute! I also chose to wear my new jewellery: my stud bracelets from Aldo (which is now offcially my favourite place for accessories!)

No solo de colores oscuros vive el invierno, tenemos que aprovechar los días que luzca el sol para añadirle luz a nuestros looks. Es el caso de este jersey, que elegí para ir a pasear al perro. En las fotos no se aprecia, pero tiene pinceladas de azul y rosa clarito, que a mi parecer es lo que lo hace especial. También me puse mis pulseras de tachuelas de Aldo, que se ha convertido en mi nuevo lugar favorito donde comprar accesorios!
